The HY5WS-17/50DL-TB is a detachable drop-out surge arrester specifically engineered for 10kV outdoor power distribution systems. It features premium zinc oxide varistors, integrated with a thermal detacher and drop-out mechanism, enabling hot-swappable inspection, testing and replacement without power shutdown. It effectively clamps atmospheric overvoltage (lightning strikes) and switching overvoltage. In case of short circuit or internal failure, the thermal detacher acts automatically, flipping the arrester module to isolate the faulty unit with a visible indicator, preventing accident escalation. The composite silicone rubber housing offers excellent hydrophobicity, pollution and weather resistance, suitable for outdoor pole-mounted and pad-mounted transformer applications, serving as an ideal maintenance-friendly protection solution for 10kV distribution networks.
